Video analytics market further validated by Omniture

Today Omniture officially released version 14 of its SiteCatalyst product line for web tracking and analytics with a section of the application devoted to tracking video on sites tracked by Omniture.

We believe that Omniture's entry in the space validates the pressing need for internet video analytics.  The rate of video adoption has been staggering, and we are seeing tremendous demand in the marketplace for actionable information about video campaign performance and audience behavior.  

We believe that our solution is distinct from and complementary to web analytics firms like Omniture and media research firms like Nielsen, comScore, and Quantcast.  We believe that we have a very different approach to the market.  Over time, as we reveal more of what we've been working on with leading customers and partners, it will become more evident how our solution is differentiated while delivering real value for our customers.

Visible Measures has been entirely focused on helping all members of the online video ecosystem perform more efficiently and effectively, and we welcome Omniture's offering as adding another voice to helping to improve the quality of measurement for the video ecosystem.
