We are looking for an exceptional Database Engineer (MySQL) to lead development aspects of the design and delivery of an extremely high volume insert transaction database and support aggregation to an analytical database.
You will own a wide range of responsibilities: schema design, database performance analysis and tuning, and scaling to multiple terabytes. You will drive database partitioning and replication. The remainder of your role will be as a Senior Web Engineer to work with the management team and other engineers to identify requirements, design, implement, and maintain the database layer of our application. The environment is MySQL/Linux/JBOSS.
To achieve these goals, you must have a passion for, and deep understanding of, database applications and operating system interactions. Outstanding SQL skills are paramount to your success, along with an ability to seek out and resolve issues efficiently and effectively before they occur.
